BEGINNINGS

I guess it all started when I was a little girl - I've always had an overactive imagination, so I would regularly dig for fossils in my grandparents' backyard (or a tunnel to the Center of the Earth, depending on the day). My Mom said I could be content for hours just to sit and play pretend by myself or do little art projects...I guess that never changed.

INSPIRATIONS

I have a very days-gone-by mentality, and Lord & Lady is inspired by history, literature, and old-world charm. My grandmother was a home-ec teacher, so she taught me early-on all the good things - like how to sew and cook. Though I dabble in the pastry arts and hope to open a little Bake-Shop B&B when I get old, creating has become my niche and I love inviting people into my own little world.

CURRENTLY

It all started with some ties for my Dad, and bow ties for friends in Savannah, Georgia, and has been going from there.... I can't stand being bored, so look for new styles and products all the time!

As a solo-preneur (currently seeking a mentor for the first time...so if you have a lead, please get in touch!): I founded and trademarked Lord and Lady, but am also the clothing designer; seamstress; pattern-drafter; graphic & web designer (Lord-Lady.Com); blogger and recipe-writer; customer service and custom-order lady; social media girl; and order-fullfiller.

In addition to hand-making about 70% of my products, I'm currently working with small-scale manufacturers to produce a larger-range of things so please stay tuned and sign up for our email list to get the latest updates.

Please take your time and look around - feel free to drop a line to megan [!at] lord-lady.com if you have any questions or would just like to say hello!

Until next time,
